1. bioinformatics:
   Biology is fucking complicated when you start trying to look at it quantitatively. The only way we will get far with molecular biology, biophysics, etc, etc, is to have the scientists make friends with the computers. Or at least the computer people.
2. corsets:
   Corsets are pretty. I look good in them (or so I've been told). And they help my crappy, crappy back by suporting it. And they're pretty.
3. gardening:
   Plaaaaaaaaaaaaaants. Diirrrrrrrt. I love to grow things. I love to watch them grow from teensy seeds into beautifull big plants under my care. And then I eat them. YUM. It's also a self-sufficiency thing.
4. khafif:
   My teacher's bellydance troup. It is an arabic? musical term meaning 'lively'.
5. mad science:
   Mad scientists are cool. That's all there is to it, really.

6. nra:
   NRA-national rifle association. Full of more peace-lovers and gentle people than you would think, at least among the ones I've known. They just want to keep the right to defend themselves. And have and enjoy big guns for thier own sake. Is that wrong?
7. reading:
   If I have to explain why reading is interesting, go away and never talk to me again.
8. sewing:
   One of the many usefull crafts my grandmas taught me when I was younger and then forgot and now wish I had the time to re-learn. About all I can handle right now are things like curtains.
9. taekwondo:
   A sport I've done off and on for the last 6 years. Good fun. Good workout.
10. urban gardening:
    An extension of the above, except in the city. Where I am now. Where I have to BUY dirt. And put it in POTS. UGH. Still trying, though. Got a decent amount of strawberries this year, and my jalapenos and borage and nasturniums are coming along nicely.
